Capture the Road Ahead
VAVA was launching their new dash cam on Kickstarter and sought to stand out from a crowded hardware field. Crowdfunding campaigns seek to engage viewers to the end of a long (2 min+ video), which can be challenging when viewers have never heard of the product or company before and don’t usually have a baseline connection.
Rather than rattling off a laundry list of features, we worked with VAVA to craft a gripping story that demonstrated the benefits of the dash cam by showcasing all-too-common car-related situations that stress us out—like surprise accidents, tickets and car karaoke moments that nobody catches on video. We took it up a notch by making our antagonist a bear (well, a guy in a bear suit), and presented before and after dash cam scenes that bring to life how the dash cam keeps bad luck in hibernation.
As a leading San Francisco Bay Area Video Production, we managed all aspects of production, including 3D graphics, motion graphics, editing, music, voiceover, sound design and color correction.
Video now appears in Target stores and on Amazon to drive sales.
